KNOW MALAGA
Málaga is proud of being one of the oldest cities in Spain and Europe, because it has been an important trade centre for many years. The city centre of Malaga, large and pedestrian, is full of life and it's easy to stretch on while going from one bar to another. The birthplace of Pablo Picasso is a vibrant city that has always attracted students and tourists from all over the world. Weather is almost perfect here, and alongside the beach and good tapas, Malaga is a perfect stop to anyone looking for sun and fun, seasoned with historic heritage.
WHAT TO DO?
A visit to the city should include walking around the city centre, starting on Larios street, the main artery of the city. From there you can walk slowly on the pedestrian streets, looking for the splendid Cathedral and the Dockyard Central Market, stopping in any of the bars to try the tapas and the delicious fish.
The cultural route is completed with a climb to the Alcazaba, the Muslim fortified citadel, and the Gibralfaro Castle, both offering a great view of the city centre and the Mediterranean Sea.
If you come to Málaga you must visit one of its beaches, either Malagueta, very close to the city centre, or any of the others in the surrounding area. They are perfect to relax on during the day or to chill out in a bar until late.
